Prepare the Device

  1. Enable Developer Options: Settings → About phone → Tap Build number 7 times
  2. Enable USB Debugging: Settings → System → Developer options → USB debugging ON
  3. Authorize Connection: Connect DX340 to your PC → select "Always allow" → tap Allow

Download & Run the Installer

  1. Download & Extract the ZIP file to any folder
  2. Connect your DX340 via USB (tap "Always allow")
  3. Keep Wi-Fi connected during installation
  4. Run the installer for your OS:
    🪟 Windows: Windows-Anantar-Ultimate-Installer.bat 🍎 macOS/Linux: MacOS-Anantar-Ultimate-Installer.command
    macOS Tip: If it fails, open Terminal → type chmod +x → drag the .command file in → press Enter → try again.
  5. Follow on-screen prompts. If Magisk asks for "Additional Setup", tap OK.
  6. Wait for the ANANTAR ULTIMATE logo in the terminal — done! Device reboots automatically.

🛠 Step-by-Step: Format microSD to EXT4 via ADB

⚠️ Backup your microSD card data first. Formatting erases all data.
  1. Backup all data on your microSD card
  2. Connect DX340 via USB and open ADB shell
  3. Grant Shell Permission (Root access required)
  4. Run the formatting command via ADB Shell to format with optimized parameters for high-fidelity audio playback
  5. Wait for completion, then reboot the device

⚠️ EXT4 Limitations

  • EXT4 microSD cards are not directly readable on Windows/macOS via card readers — transfer files via USB/ADB
  • If you need to switch back: format via Settings → Storage → Format as portable or via ADB to exFAT

🐛 Bug Fixes & Compatibility

  • Software Validation: Extensively tested with UAPP, Neutron Music Player, and Nova Launcher.
  • Note on Neutron CPU DSP: PCM-to-DSD real-time conversion in Neutron is supported but increases CPU load and thermal output significantly.
  • MicroSD EXT4 Fix: Fixed a critical bug in the microSD cleanup process for ext4 partitions.
  • iBasso Firmware Updater Fix: Resolved an issue where the updater failed to launch in the optimized environment.

🗑️ Uninstall Anantar Ultimate

  1. Change Boot Profile to "Off" first
  2. Open Magisk app → Select "Uninstall Magisk"
  3. Device reboots and becomes unrooted
  4. Uninstall the Magisk app
💡 If sending to iBasso for service, factory reset after unrooting.

🔄 A/B Testing (Enable/Disable)

Disable:
  1. Change Boot Profile to "Off"
  2. Magisk → Modules → Disable Anantar Ultimate → Reboot
Enable:
  1. Magisk → Modules → Enable Anantar Ultimate → Reboot
  2. Enable your favourite Boot Profile

⬆️ Upgrade Firmware Without Data Loss

  1. Download OTA firmware ZIP from iBasso website
  2. Run: adb reboot recovery
  3. Select "Apply update from ADB"
  4. Run: adb sideload DX340_full_ota_x.xx.zip
  5. Reboot, then reinstall Anantar Ultimate
⚠️ Windows 11 has issues with fastboot — use QFIL or ADB sideload instead.

🔁 Soft Brick Recovery

  1. Turn DX340 OFF
  2. Hold Bottom Side Button + Power Button simultaneously
  3. When iBasso logo appears, release Power (keep holding Side Button)
  4. Navigate to "Recovery Mode" → confirm with Power
  5. Select "Wipe data/factory reset" → Factory data reset
  6. Select "Reboot system now"

🔨 Hard Brick Recovery — QFIL Flash

The DX340 uses a Qualcomm SoC — you can flash the entire firmware via QFIL (Qualcomm Flash Image Loader).

What You Need

QFIL tool, USB-C cable, iBasso full firmware package, Qualcomm EDL drivers

Steps to Flash

Enter EDL mode → Connect device → Open QFIL → Select firmware → Flash → Reboot
